This 9-year-old 92 proof Kaiyo Whisky was aged in Japan before spending an extended time as sea before it was finished in Liverpool. The liquid glows a light amber to golden straw hue, emitting an aroma of bright stone fruit essence, harvest peach, and candied apricot. The palate brings forth an interplay of honey-stewed asian pear, poached apples, and nectarine glazed smoke, masked in a caramel malt silhouette. A few drops of water sway forth a floral tune of young jasmine mingling with gardenia in full bloom.
